Web based AIS monitoring

User management
The user management permits to create users and user groups based on various parameters like list of ships, certain predefined roles, geographical limits and type of users.
The user management is an independent module that can be used for several RIS applications at the same time. This permits a single entry point to various RIS applications.

General properties
All windows can be resized and positioned on the screen. Resolution and screen dimensions can be set.
Several hundreds of targets can be displayed at the same time with fast refresh rates.
The application runs on standards PC and webbrowsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The Microsoft Silverlight technology is used.

Chart Mode
The web application allows the display of Inland ECDIS data. The data can be managed by the administrator. Symbols can be internationally standardised or custom made.
Various functions are possible like zoom in/out, panning, center, rotation of the chart, selection of detail, information button etc... Ship details can be requested and displayed. ECDIS chart properties can be displayed. AIS targets can be displayed with and without name, with indication of heading etc...

Text mode / Search mode
These modes are displaying the lists of ships in the whole region or in a certain part. The search function allows a quick search to a certain vessel.

Management of Virtual objects, buoys and zones
It is possible to manage a set of virtual objects via the web tool and to have them transmitted over the AIS base station network.

Sending and Receiving of messages
The application allows to send and receive messages to/and from the ships. These messages can be sent over certain base stations or over the complete network.

ETA prediction
With a specific route calculation module/algorithm it is possible to estimate and calculate the progress of the vessels over the waterway network. Using various parameters the position of the vessels in the future can be predicted and forwarded to eg the next lock on the route.
